Lexmark E120n Monochrome Laser Printer user reviews

"Lexmark E120n Monochrome Laser Printer's print quality from this little laser is pretty good in all respects. Text prints clean and black, with no noticeable spatter and reasonably clean tints in business graphics. Greyscales are well-defined and our photo test print – not most lasers’ favourite print sample – was generally well produced. There was some slight banding in the sky area, however, and the so-called ‘1200dpi quality’ output looked a bit coarse.
In many ways, this is an excellent mono laser printer. It’s quick by most standards, and very quick for a machine costing under £100. It’s cheap to buy, it produces good quality prints and is very easy to use. So why shouldn’t everybody dash out and buy one? Simply put, it’s the most expensive mono laser to run that I’ve tested. Not by much, but at 3p per page, you really need to value its other qualities to justify the purchase."

"I've only had this Lexmark E120n Monochrome Laser Printer for less than a month, but it performs wonderfully. The text is crisp, and the printer is fast. I'm a technical writer, so it's not uncommon for me to print 200+ page documents. Even the graphics in grayscale look great. It's a huge improvement over my old, slow inkjet printer. Another great feature is the toner costs less than all the ink cartridges for my inkjet printer, and they last much longer. I'm still using the trial toner cartridge. I have not used the networking capability yet, but I plan to do that in a few months. All in all, this is a great printer for a great price."

"My review on Lexmark E120n Monochrome Laser Printer
Pros: Lowest prices & smallest laser printer with built-in Ethernet & USB ports. Added a MICR cartridge from checksnet that triples the output and lets me print bank-readable checks.
Cons: 8 second startup sometimes feels like 10 seconds (probably just me).
Other Thoughts: Great for printing peel & stick labels or shipping labels without any paper jams I've seen from other small printers. "

"Lexmark E120n Monochrome Laser Printer:Great Value - Great Printer
My only complaint is the printer doesn't come with a USB or ethernet cable, but it does come with a power cable. So, it took me some time to find cables to hook it up. Many will probably not have this issue, but it might be annoying for some customers. Outside of this, I didn't have to use the CD that came with the printer. I merely plugged in the printer with USB and Windows XP detected the driver using Windows Update. Everything said and done, I was able to setup the printer out of the box and get it running fairly quickly."

"I ordered Lexmark E120n Monochrome Laser Printer as I was fed up of wasting 2 catridges printing standard documents out. The printer is easy to set-up out the box, remember to follow the instructions and remove all the plastic from the unit (some is hidden inside). Distribution of black is solid, greys are a little wavy if you want to be super critical, however I feel this may be down to a the unit being so fresh out of the box. Mac OS drivers are minimal (as they should be) no silly 'Magic Print Software' - see HP for these apps that are always pointless.

It fires up real quick and is super compact on a desk set-up. I would recomend getting one as well as a colour printer. "
