HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless Printer user reviews

"Overall I am very satisfied with this printer. Print quality is very good, print speed is acceptable, and automatic duplex printing is great to save paper. My only caution is that it takes patience and persistence to setup this printer with Mac osx 10.5. I am an intermediate level computer user. I was able to install the printer software and connect to my home office network in about 30 minutes. I was able to print at that point, but not duplex print. I spent another hour working through various print & fax settings with my Mac and after finally deleting my old printer software, the new printer worked properly. I also should mention that I discovered in my setup journey that the HP on-line chat does not support Mac computers. So, I had to revert to HP email support that is dedicated to Mac users. In the end, all worked out well, but it did take some time. "

"This is my 7th printer over the years and this has been the easiest and quickest setup of any printer I've had. The setup wizard is excellent. The wireless setup was automatic. No fishing for drivers. Very fast printing, two-sided printing is standard. The only con I have is the long warm-up time. "

"This printer was ridiculously easy to set up and prints with amazing quality. Plus with it being wireless I can print from anywhere in the house. This is a great product. "

"Yes I agree - yoou have to be careful with the install, but what it basically means is that you have to read the instructions, and let the machine do its part.
Upon install I opted for wireless, which was very easy to set up, and all the software was OPTIONAL....
Test pages (I did about 4) all came very good...
Very satisfied, and recommend it to both home & office. "

"I have only had this printer a day but I am very happy with it. The installation does take a bit of time .. about 30 min [which HP said it would] but it's all done automatically from the installation software. The print quality is very good and fast depending upon the website feed. Unlike the previous reviewer, I just let the installation take it's course and I have had no problems with any HP popups so far. I am using a wireless network at home and I was very surprised how easy the HP software located all the wireless network information and connected without any problem. So far I am VERY pleased with this printer and would highly recommend it especially for wireless users. "
