"HP’s LaserJet P3005x is a no-nonsense, workgroup printer with a high duty-cycle of up to 100,000 pages per month. It gets on with the job quickly and efficiently, but for this you have to pay over £600, up front. Print quality is good, even for graphic images which tax most mono lasers. The quoted speed of 33ppm is fanciful, but even at 15ppm, you won't have to wait long from most print jobs."

"My review for HP LaserJet P3005X Printer
Pros: very quick, easy setup
Cons: not set with dhcp out of the box

I received this printer quickly and in great shape. It took only minutes to install the driver and have it setup on the network. Very easy to use and configure. The printer starts printing immediatly after you send the command to print over the network and keeps printing fast throughout the job. Great printer I hope to buy more of this printer for the company. "

"My review for HP LaserJet P3005X Printer
Pros: Easy to set up - we use it as a shared network printer and did all network and tray settings thru the top panel before even connecting to the network. Does everything we expected. Makes a good upgrade / replacement for printers like the LaserJet 4050 or 4100, although HP calls it a replacement for lower-end printers.

Cons: For two-sided printing, the HP driver wants you to chose between flipping up (usually best for landscape printing) or sideways (good for portrait mode). If you duplex both landscape and portrait, you may need to change your driver settings every time you change orientation. The Microsoft Windows drivers for some older HP LaserJets let you specify "long edge" duplexing, which works for me with either orientation.

Other Thoughts: This is the high-end of the P3005 line, with network connector, duplexer, and an extra tray (total 2 500-sheet trays, plus the foldout). The duplexer works differently from older models and may make you smile - watch the LCD display. "

"We were generally happy with the HP LaserJet P3005X Printer's quality. The text printed up sharp and clean, though we would've liked it to be a bit blacker. A peek through the jeweler's loupe showed some problems handling very small point sizes (three points and smaller), though this is a nonissue for most people. The black graphics print also displayed sharp text, as well as good graphics handling. The photo elements on the page showed good detail, though they were beset by the cross-hatching that most lasers can't escape. "
